Market Notes

  • Handle and growth: New Hampshire generated $880.6 million in total sports betting handle for calendar year 2025 (up ~12% from 2024). The market remains stable in 2026 with strong seasonal performance, especially during NFL and college sports seasons.
  • Market split: Mobile dominates with 94%+ of handle through the DraftKings app. Retail accounts for the remaining ~6% at a small number of locations (bars, restaurants, and casinos).
  • Hold and tax: Statewide hold has averaged 11–12% recently. The state receives a very high 51% of gross gaming revenue. This generated a record $39 million to the Education Trust Fund in FY2025, with continued strong contributions in 2026.
  • Contract note: DraftKings remains the exclusive operator for both mobile and retail sports betting. The New Hampshire Lottery extended DraftKings’ contract through June 2028. No plans to add additional operators at this time.
